Walk Simulator for Gorilla Tag – Keyboard & Mouse Mod (v3.1.0)
No VR headset? Walk Simulator by KyleTheScientist lets you walk, climb and emote in Gorilla Tag with a keyboard and mouse. It’s MIT-licensed open source and still maintained: v3.1.0 shipped on October 18, 2026.
Requirements (this matters)
The README is specific: you need BepInEx 5.4.23.x and a current Utilla. It notes that Utilla 1.6.27 and older no longer load on the current game. Get Utilla from sirkingbinx/Utilla. The mod only works in modded lobbies, so pick a Modded gamemode on the computer.

Settings live in BepInEx/config/com.kylethescientist.gorillatag.walksimulator.cfg, so you can rebind there.
Good to know
- It’s for playing and exploring, not for beating VR players at tag. Moving your arms with a mouse will never match real arm swings.
- If nothing happens in a lobby, check that the room is modded and that Utilla is the new version. That’s the cause behind most “it doesn’t work” reports.
