Banana Platforms Mod for Gorilla Tag – PC Install & Troubleshooting

Banana Platforms Mod is a fan-made PC mod for Gorilla Tag. We couldn’t find an official source page, author profile or changelog for it, so this page leaves out version numbers and feature claims we can’t check. It covers how PC mods like it load, where they work, and what usually breaks.

Platform mods spawn a small surface under your hand when you press grip, so you can climb into the air. This one swaps the look of the platform for a banana. Bark includes a platforms module too, and it’s restricted to modded lobbies.

Setup

Setup is the standard PC routine. Install BepInEx 5.4.23.x (x64) and launch once, add Utilla if the mod needs it, then place the DLL in the plugins folder. Monke Mod Manager can install BepInEx and Utilla for you, but it won’t list most unofficial mods.

When it doesn’t work

Nothing happens in-game. Open BepInEx/LogOutput.log and search for Banana Platforms Mod. No mention means BepInEx never loaded it. Usually that’s the wrong folder, a missing dependency, or a build compiled against an older game.

Broke after an update. Game patches change the code mods hook into. If nobody maintains Banana Platforms Mod, it stays broken. There’s no setting to fix that.

Crash at startup. Take Banana Platforms Mod out of plugins first. If the game starts, the mod is the problem. If it still crashes, update BepInEx: 5.4.22 and older crash on current builds.

Using it safely

Keep gameplay mods to modded gamemodes or private codes. Another Axiom’s terms forbid cheating, and the community wiki notes that every mod carries some ban risk, even in modded rooms.

Platform support

BepInEx plugins only run on the PC (Steam) build of Gorilla Tag. A Quest can use them only while it’s streaming the PC game over Link, Air Link or Virtual Desktop. Standalone Quest can’t load them.
