About GTMods
Safety Vetting & Quality Assurance for Gorilla Tag Mods
GTMods.net is an independent, community-driven database and safety vetting portal for Gorilla Tag modifications. Our mission is to help players navigate the modding landscape safely, providing verified installation guides for Meta Quest (standalone) and PC VR systems.
Our Safety & Vetting Pipeline
Unlike directories that automatically index any uploaded mod, every file listed on GTMods must pass through our strict verification process before it is cataloged:
- 1Source Code AuditingWe manually inspect the public repository code of all plugins to confirm there are no malicious code blocks, credentials hijackers, or spyware.
- 2Build Hash VerificationWe cross-reference release binaries against verified compiler build signatures to guarantee the files you download are clean and untouched.
- 3Rigorous Sandbox TestingMods are tested in sandbox rigs on both Quest (via QuestPatcher) and PC VR (via Steam Link) running the latest game updates to verify stability.
- 4Ban Risk & Compliance ChecksWe evaluate whether mods modify public matchmaking code (which triggers anti-cheat bans) and ensure players are fully educated on fair play compliance.
Our Core Principles
- No File Hosting: To eliminate the risk of serving outdated or compromised files, we do not host binaries. All download buttons link directly to verified official developer repositories (such as public GitHub releases, mod.io, or Nexus Mods).
- Anti-Cheat Transparency: We advocate for fair play. We do not promote cheat menus designed to disrupt public matchmaking queues. Our guides educate users to use cosmetic, utility, and gameplay modifications exclusively in custom private lobbies.
- No Data Collection: We respect player privacy. GTMods is a purely informational catalog; we do not track player details, telemetry, or game accounts.
