How to play SlenderMonke
Because it’s a mod.io gamemode, there’s nothing to sideload: Quest and PC players both get it through the in-game Virtual Stump.
- Open mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/slendermonke1 and hit Subscribe. Use the same mod.io login that your headset is linked to.
- In City, walk into the Arcade and use a green VR headset; that takes you to the Virtual Stump.
- Not linked yet? The account screen in the Stump gives you a code to type in at mod.io/connect.
- On the maps terminal, show installed maps only, pick SlenderMonke and load it. The first load pulls about 77 MB.
Note: accounts registered as under 13 can’t enter the Virtual Stump.
Tips
- This one leans into horror. If you’re playing with younger siblings or friends who scare easily, give them a heads-up.
- The last update was February 25, 2026. Big Gorilla Tag updates can break older maps, so if it won’t load, check the mod.io page for a newer file or a note from StyledSnail.
