Galaxy Orb Mod for Gorilla Tag – PC Install & Troubleshooting

Galaxy Orb Mod shows up in older mod lists and videos, but its original source isn’t documented anywhere we could verify. So this page sticks to what holds true for it either way: install, platform support, safe use, and troubleshooting.

From the name, Galaxy Orb is a held or floating visual object, the kind of client-side toy other players can’t see unless they run it too. We couldn’t confirm how it behaves, so treat that as a guess from the name, not a description.

How it loads

PC mods for Gorilla Tag are DLL plugins loaded by BepInEx 5 (x64). The usual stack is BepInEx in the game folder, run the game once, then the plugin goes in Gorilla Tag/BepInEx/plugins. Many mods also want Utilla. The legoandmars original stopped at 1.6.14 in 2024, and current builds come from the maintained sirkingbinx/Utilla (1.7.2 as of October 2026).

Platform support

It’s PC-only. Quest players can use it only when playing the Steam version through a cable or wireless PC link. Nothing installs on the headset itself.

Using it safely

Keep gameplay mods to modded gamemodes or private codes. Another Axiom’s terms forbid cheating, and the community wiki notes that every mod carries some ban risk, even in modded rooms.

Common problems

• Crash at startup: Take Galaxy Orb Mod out of plugins first. If the game starts, the mod is the problem. If it still crashes, update BepInEx: 5.4.22 and older crash on current builds.
• Works only in modded rooms: If Galaxy Orb Mod depends on Utilla, it disables itself outside modded gamemodes on purpose.
• Defender removed something: BepInEx’s winhttp.dll proxy gets quarantined fairly often. Restoring it is fine if BepInEx came from its GitHub releases. A flagged menu DLL deserves more suspicion, not less.
• Broke after an update: Game patches change the code mods hook into. If nobody maintains Galaxy Orb Mod, it stays broken. There’s no setting to fix that.
