Loading -Capture the Flag- in Gorilla Tag
-Capture the Flag- doesn’t need BepInEx or any PC mod loader. It runs through the official mod.io integration, so it works on Quest and on Steam/PC VR.
- Find -Capture the Flag- on mod.io (mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/capture-the-flag-monkes) and subscribe, logged in with your linked account.
- In City, walk into the Arcade and use a green VR headset; that takes you to the Virtual Stump.
- First time? Link your account from the mod.io screen in the Stump by entering its code at mod.io/connect.
- Pick -Capture the Flag- from the installed list on the maps terminal and load in. It’s around 15 MB, so the first load takes a bit.
Note: accounts registered as under 13 can’t enter the Virtual Stump.
Things worth knowing
- It’s a light download (about 15 MB), so it loads quickly even on slow Wi-Fi.
- With competitive or minigame tags, sessions play better when everyone has already loaded the map before the round starts.
- The last update was May 31, 2025. Big Gorilla Tag updates can break older maps, so if it won’t load, check the mod.io page for a newer file or a note from 1NobleDuck.
