Wryser's GoPro Mod for Gorilla Tag – Recording Setup & Fixes

Wryser’s GoPro Mod is a small PC utility aimed at people recording or streaming Gorilla Tag rather than at gameplay. We couldn’t locate an official repository or changelog for it, so this page doesn’t list unverified features. It focuses on setup and how to keep a recording setup stable.

wryser is also the developer of Gorilla Homes, which has a documented GitHub release. We couldn’t find a public release page for this GoPro mod, so the 2.3.0 version number isn’t verified.

Setup

Drop the DLL into BepInEx/plugins, not the game root. BepInEx has to be there first: extract the x64 zip next to Gorilla Tag.exe and launch once so the folders get created. If the mod expects Utilla, install a current Utilla build. Older Utilla versions no longer load on the current game.

Troubleshooting

Nothing happens in-game. Open BepInEx/LogOutput.log and search for Wryser’s GoPro Mod. No mention means BepInEx never loaded it. Usually that’s the wrong folder, a missing dependency, or a build compiled against an older game.

Crash at startup. Take Wryser’s GoPro Mod out of plugins first. If the game starts, the mod is the problem. If it still crashes, update BepInEx: 5.4.22 and older crash on current builds.

Works only in modded rooms. If Wryser’s GoPro Mod depends on Utilla, it disables itself outside modded gamemodes on purpose.

Quest vs Steam

BepInEx plugins only run on the PC (Steam) build of Gorilla Tag. A Quest can use them only while it’s streaming the PC game over Link, Air Link or Virtual Desktop. Standalone Quest can’t load them.

Where to use it

Keep gameplay mods to modded gamemodes or private codes. Another Axiom’s terms forbid cheating, and the community wiki notes that every mod carries some ban risk, even in modded rooms.
