Project Cyclone Mod Menu for Gorilla Tag – PC Setup and Honest Risks Gorilla Tag mod cover preview

Searches for Project Cyclone Mod Menu turn up showcase videos and reposts, not a maintained official page. Because the feature list changes from build to build and none of it is documented in a place we can check, this guide sticks to verifiable ground: the PC loader setup, platform limits, the real ban risk, and fixes for the usual problems.

How it loads

Drop the DLL into BepInEx/plugins, not the game root. BepInEx has to be there first: extract the x64 zip next to Gorilla Tag.exe and launch once so the folders get created. If the mod expects Utilla, install a current Utilla build. Older Utilla versions no longer load on the current game.

Public lobbies: don’t

Assume any menu used around other people can get you banned. That’s the game’s position (its terms forbid cheating) and the community wiki’s (“all mods come with a risk of a ban”). Features that affect other players are the most likely to get flagged.

If you try it at all, do it on a spare account, in a private room code, with nobody else in it.

Troubleshooting

  • Worked last week, broken now: A Gorilla Tag update most likely changed something the mod hooks into. Unmaintained mods don’t get fixed; remove it and check for a newer build.
  • Only works in some rooms: Mods built on Utilla only switch on in modded gamemodes. That’s intended.
  • Nothing happens in-game: Check BepInEx/LogOutput.log. If the plugin isn’t mentioned, it isn’t loading: wrong folder, missing dependency, or a build made for an older game version.

Malware warning

Mod menus are a common way to spread malware in this scene. The Gorilla Tag wiki specifically warns that some “menus” are remote-access trojans. Scan any download, never run an .exe that claims to be a menu, and be suspicious of anything asking for your Discord or Steam login.

Does it work on Quest?

BepInEx plugins only run on the PC (Steam) build of Gorilla Tag. A Quest can use them only while it’s streaming the PC game over Link, Air Link or Virtual Desktop. Standalone Quest can’t load them.

Questions people ask

Is there a version for standalone Quest?
Not as a BepInEx mod. Standalone Quest can't load PC plugins.
Who made Project Cyclone Mod Menu?
We couldn't verify the original author, so we haven't named one.
