Loading True Forest in Gorilla Tag

True Forest doesn’t need BepInEx or any PC mod loader. It runs through the official mod.io integration, so it works on Quest and on Steam/PC VR.

1. Open mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/true-forest1 and hit Subscribe. Use the same mod.io login that your headset is linked to.
2. Head to the Arcade in City and put on one of the green headsets to drop into the Virtual Stump.
3. First time? Link your account from the mod.io screen in the Stump by entering its code at mod.io/connect.
4. Pick True Forest from the installed list on the maps terminal and load in. The first load pulls about 15 MB.

Under-13 accounts are blocked from the Virtual Stump, so this won’t show up for them.

Tips

• It’s a light download (about 15 MB), so it loads quickly even on slow Wi-Fi.
• With competitive or minigame tags, sessions play better when everyone has already loaded the map before the round starts.
• The last update was November 24, 2024. Big Gorilla Tag updates can break older maps, so if it won’t load, check the mod.io page for a newer file or a note from ExaltedPotato1.
