Getting into The Monke-Rooms

The Monke-Rooms doesn’t need BepInEx or any PC mod loader. It runs through the official mod.io integration, so it works on Quest and on Steam/PC VR.

1. Head to the Arcade in City and put on one of the green headsets to drop into the Virtual Stump.
2. First time? Link your account from the mod.io screen in the Stump by entering its code at mod.io/connect.
3. Find The Monke-Rooms on mod.io (mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/the-monke-rooms1) and subscribe, logged in with your linked account.
4. Use the terminal to filter to installed maps, then select The Monke-Rooms and press load. The first load pulls about 156 MB.

Note: accounts registered as under 13 can’t enter the Virtual Stump.

Things worth knowing

• At around 156 MB this is one of the heavier downloads. On a Quest with little free storage, clear some space first or the load can fail.
• It’s tagged Hangout, which usually means it’s best with a few friends in a private code rather than a full random lobby.
• The Roleplay tag means much of the fun depends on the group you play with. Agree on the scenario before you start.
• This one leans into horror. If you’re playing with younger siblings or friends who scare easily, give them a heads-up.
