Loading The Fractal in Gorilla Tag

The Fractal doesn’t need BepInEx or any PC mod loader. It runs through the official mod.io integration, so it works on Quest and on Steam/PC VR.

1. Open mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/the-fractal and hit Subscribe. Use the same mod.io login that your headset is linked to.
2. In City, walk into the Arcade and use a green VR headset; that takes you to the Virtual Stump.
3. First time? Link your account from the mod.io screen in the Stump by entering its code at mod.io/connect.
4. Use the terminal to filter to installed maps, then select The Fractal and press load. The first load pulls about 51 MB.

Custom maps aren’t available to accounts registered under 13.

Things worth knowing

• It’s tagged Hangout, which usually means it’s best with a few friends in a private code rather than a full random lobby.
• The Roleplay tag means much of the fun depends on the group you play with. Agree on the scenario before you start.
• With competitive or minigame tags, sessions play better when everyone has already loaded the map before the round starts.
