How to play The Dungeon
You don’t install The Dungeon like a PC mod. Gorilla Tag downloads it for you once you’re subscribed, on Quest or PC.
- Jump into the Virtual Stump from the green headsets in City’s Arcade.
- If the terminal says you’re not linked, enter the code it shows at mod.io/connect.
- Subscribe to The Dungeon at mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/the-dungeongtag while logged in to the mod.io account you’ve linked to Gorilla Tag.
- Pick The Dungeon from the installed list on the maps terminal and load in. It’s around 77 MB, so the first load takes a bit.
Custom maps aren’t available to accounts registered under 13.
Tips
- It’s tagged Hangout, which usually means it’s best with a few friends in a private code rather than a full random lobby.
- The Roleplay tag means much of the fun depends on the group you play with. Agree on the scenario before you start.
- With competitive or minigame tags, sessions play better when everyone has already loaded the map before the round starts.
- The last update was May 6, 2025. Big Gorilla Tag updates can break older maps, so if it won’t load, check the mod.io page for a newer file or a note from PurpsOfficial.
