Loading The Dark Jungle in Gorilla Tag

Because it’s a mod.io map, there’s nothing to sideload: Quest and PC players both get it through the in-game Virtual Stump.

1. Head to the Arcade in City and put on one of the green headsets to drop into the Virtual Stump.
2. If the terminal says you’re not linked, enter the code it shows at mod.io/connect.
3. Subscribe to The Dark Jungle at mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/the-dark-jungle while logged in to the mod.io account you’ve linked to Gorilla Tag.
4. Pick The Dark Jungle from the installed list on the maps terminal and load in. It’s around 141 MB, so the first load takes a bit.

Note: accounts registered as under 13 can’t enter the Virtual Stump.

Before you jump in

• It’s tagged Hangout, which usually means it’s best with a few friends in a private code rather than a full random lobby.
• The Roleplay tag means much of the fun depends on the group you play with. Agree on the scenario before you start.
• The last update was July 4, 2025. Big Gorilla Tag updates can break older maps, so if it won’t load, check the mod.io page for a newer file or a note from Mayanmonke.
