Getting into The Abandoned Facility

Because it’s a mod.io map, there’s nothing to sideload: Quest and PC players both get it through the in-game Virtual Stump.

1. In City, walk into the Arcade and use a green VR headset; that takes you to the Virtual Stump.
2. Not linked yet? The account screen in the Stump gives you a code to type in at mod.io/connect.
3. Subscribe to The Abandoned Facility at mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/the-abandoned-facility while logged in to the mod.io account you’ve linked to Gorilla Tag.
4. Pick The Abandoned Facility from the installed list on the maps terminal and load in. The first load pulls about 89 MB.

Under-13 accounts are blocked from the Virtual Stump, so this won’t show up for them.

Things worth knowing

• It’s tagged Hangout, which usually means it’s best with a few friends in a private code rather than a full random lobby.
• With competitive or minigame tags, sessions play better when everyone has already loaded the map before the round starts.
• The last update was September 26, 2025. Big Gorilla Tag updates can break older maps, so if it won’t load, check the mod.io page for a newer file or a note from CSVRStudios.
