Loading Rocky in Gorilla Tag

You don’t install Rocky like a PC mod. Gorilla Tag downloads it for you once you’re subscribed, on Quest or PC.

1. Head to the Arcade in City and put on one of the green headsets to drop into the Virtual Stump.
2. Not linked yet? The account screen in the Stump gives you a code to type in at mod.io/connect.
3. Find Rocky on mod.io (mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/rocky) and subscribe, logged in with your linked account.
4. Use the terminal to filter to installed maps, then select Rocky and press load. The first load pulls about 11 MB.

Note: accounts registered as under 13 can’t enter the Virtual Stump.

Before you jump in

• It’s a light download (about 11 MB), so it loads quickly even on slow Wi-Fi.
• It’s tagged Hangout, which usually means it’s best with a few friends in a private code rather than a full random lobby.
• With competitive or minigame tags, sessions play better when everyone has already loaded the map before the round starts.
• The last update was May 15, 2025. Big Gorilla Tag updates can break older maps, so if it won’t load, check the mod.io page for a newer file or a note from StyledSnail.
