Getting into -Ocean Ruins-
Because it’s a mod.io map, there’s nothing to sideload: Quest and PC players both get it through the in-game Virtual Stump.
- In City, walk into the Arcade and use a green VR headset; that takes you to the Virtual Stump.
- If the terminal says you’re not linked, enter the code it shows at mod.io/connect.
- Subscribe to -Ocean Ruins- at mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/ocean-mountain while logged in to the mod.io account you’ve linked to Gorilla Tag.
- Pick -Ocean Ruins- from the installed list on the maps terminal and load in. Expect a ~7 MB download the first time.
Note: accounts registered as under 13 can’t enter the Virtual Stump.
Tips
- It’s a light download (about 7 MB), so it loads quickly even on slow Wi-Fi.
- It’s tagged Hangout, which usually means it’s best with a few friends in a private code rather than a full random lobby.
- With competitive or minigame tags, sessions play better when everyone has already loaded the map before the round starts.
- The last update was January 5, 2025. Big Gorilla Tag updates can break older maps, so if it won’t load, check the mod.io page for a newer file or a note from 1NobleDuck.
