NotMonki built HauntedHeights, a large map you load through Gorilla Tag’s Virtual Stump. On its mod.io listing it’s summed up as “Explore a spooky abandoned isle that may have secrets lying right inside the mountain…” The mod.io tags put it under hangout.

Loading HauntedHeights in Gorilla Tag

You don’t install HauntedHeights like a PC mod. Gorilla Tag downloads it for you once you’re subscribed, on Quest or PC.

1. Subscribe to HauntedHeights at mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/hauntedheights while logged in to the mod.io account you’ve linked to Gorilla Tag.
2. In City, walk into the Arcade and use a green VR headset; that takes you to the Virtual Stump.
3. If the terminal says you’re not linked, enter the code it shows at mod.io/connect.
4. Pick HauntedHeights from the installed list on the maps terminal and load in. The first load pulls about 171 MB.

Note: accounts registered as under 13 can’t enter the Virtual Stump.

Tips

• At around 171 MB this is one of the heavier downloads. On a Quest with little free storage, clear some space first or the load can fail.
• It’s tagged Hangout, which usually means it’s best with a few friends in a private code rather than a full random lobby.
• The last update was October 17, 2025. Big Gorilla Tag updates can break older maps, so if it won’t load, check the mod.io page for a newer file or a note from NotMonki.
