Loading Hamster Maze in Gorilla Tag
You don’t install Hamster Maze like a PC mod. Gorilla Tag downloads it for you once you’re subscribed, on Quest or PC.
- Open mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/hamster-maze and hit Subscribe. Use the same mod.io login that your headset is linked to.
- Jump into the Virtual Stump from the green headsets in City’s Arcade.
- If the terminal says you’re not linked, enter the code it shows at mod.io/connect.
- Use the terminal to filter to installed maps, then select Hamster Maze and press load. It’s around 14 MB, so the first load takes a bit.
Under-13 accounts are blocked from the Virtual Stump, so this won’t show up for them.
Before you jump in
- It’s a light download (about 14 MB), so it loads quickly even on slow Wi-Fi.
- With competitive or minigame tags, sessions play better when everyone has already loaded the map before the round starts.
- The last update was August 1, 2025. Big Gorilla Tag updates can break older maps, so if it won’t load, check the mod.io page for a newer file or a note from Terriot.
