Loading Gorilla Play Zone in Gorilla Tag

Gorilla Play Zone doesn’t need BepInEx or any PC mod loader. It runs through the official mod.io integration, so it works on Quest and on Steam/PC VR.

1. Head to the Arcade in City and put on one of the green headsets to drop into the Virtual Stump.
2. If the terminal says you’re not linked, enter the code it shows at mod.io/connect.
3. Find Gorilla Play Zone on mod.io (mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/gorilla-play-zone) and subscribe, logged in with your linked account.
4. On the maps terminal, show installed maps only, pick Gorilla Play Zone and load it. Expect a ~81 MB download the first time.

Under-13 accounts are blocked from the Virtual Stump, so this won’t show up for them.

Things worth knowing

• It’s tagged Hangout, which usually means it’s best with a few friends in a private code rather than a full random lobby.
• The Roleplay tag means much of the fun depends on the group you play with. Agree on the scenario before you start.
• With competitive or minigame tags, sessions play better when everyone has already loaded the map before the round starts.
• The last update was July 24, 2025. Big Gorilla Tag updates can break older maps, so if it won’t load, check the mod.io page for a newer file or a note from Cookie_corporations.
