How to play Gorilla Fear

Gorilla Fear doesn’t need BepInEx or any PC mod loader. It runs through the official mod.io integration, so it works on Quest and on Steam/PC VR.

1. Subscribe to Gorilla Fear at mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/gorilla-horror2 while logged in to the mod.io account you’ve linked to Gorilla Tag.
2. In City, walk into the Arcade and use a green VR headset; that takes you to the Virtual Stump.
3. Not linked yet? The account screen in the Stump gives you a code to type in at mod.io/connect.
4. Use the terminal to filter to installed maps, then select Gorilla Fear and press load. It’s around 30 MB, so the first load takes a bit.

Note: accounts registered as under 13 can’t enter the Virtual Stump.

Things worth knowing

• It’s tagged as a challenge/race map, so expect to restart sections. Learning one route properly beats rushing.
• With competitive or minigame tags, sessions play better when everyone has already loaded the map before the round starts.
• This one leans into horror. If you’re playing with younger siblings or friends who scare easily, give them a heads-up.
