Getting into Gorilla Ants

You don’t install Gorilla Ants like a PC mod. Gorilla Tag downloads it for you once you’re subscribed, on Quest or PC.

1. In City, walk into the Arcade and use a green VR headset; that takes you to the Virtual Stump.
2. If the terminal says you’re not linked, enter the code it shows at mod.io/connect.
3. Subscribe to Gorilla Ants at mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/gorilla-ants while logged in to the mod.io account you’ve linked to Gorilla Tag.
4. Use the terminal to filter to installed maps, then select Gorilla Ants and press load. Expect a ~14 MB download the first time.

Note: accounts registered as under 13 can’t enter the Virtual Stump.

Tips

• It’s a light download (about 14 MB), so it loads quickly even on slow Wi-Fi.
• It’s tagged Hangout, which usually means it’s best with a few friends in a private code rather than a full random lobby.
• The Roleplay tag means much of the fun depends on the group you play with. Agree on the scenario before you start.
• With competitive or minigame tags, sessions play better when everyone has already loaded the map before the round starts.
• The last update was January 7, 2025. Big Gorilla Tag updates can break older maps, so if it won’t load, check the mod.io page for a newer file or a note from CowyIsSOOOCool.
