Getting into Forest Team Tag

Forest Team Tag doesn’t need BepInEx or any PC mod loader. It runs through the official mod.io integration, so it works on Quest and on Steam/PC VR.

1. Open mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/forest-team-tag and hit Subscribe. Use the same mod.io login that your headset is linked to.
2. Jump into the Virtual Stump from the green headsets in City’s Arcade.
3. Not linked yet? The account screen in the Stump gives you a code to type in at mod.io/connect.
4. Use the terminal to filter to installed maps, then select Forest Team Tag and press load. Expect a ~33 MB download the first time.

Under-13 accounts are blocked from the Virtual Stump, so this won’t show up for them.

Before you jump in

• With competitive or minigame tags, sessions play better when everyone has already loaded the map before the round starts.
• The last update was April 24, 2025. Big Gorilla Tag updates can break older maps, so if it won’t load, check the mod.io page for a newer file or a note from AA_KFC.
