Fireball Pillars – Gorilla Tag Gamemode by Connor-David Gorilla Tag mod cover preview

Connor-David built Fireball Pillars, a small gamemode you load through Gorilla Tag’s Virtual Stump. The creator’s one-line pitch: “Unleash Your Inner Fireball Gunman Skills upon Pillars of Fury and Might!” It’s tagged on mod.io as challenge, competitive, custom game, so that’s the kind of session to expect.

Loading Fireball Pillars in Gorilla Tag

You don’t install Fireball Pillars like a PC mod. Gorilla Tag downloads it for you once you’re subscribed, on Quest or PC.

  1. Subscribe to Fireball Pillars at mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/fireball-pillars while logged in to the mod.io account you’ve linked to Gorilla Tag.
  2. Head to the Arcade in City and put on one of the green headsets to drop into the Virtual Stump.
  3. If the terminal says you’re not linked, enter the code it shows at mod.io/connect.
  4. On the maps terminal, show installed maps only, pick Fireball Pillars and load it. It’s around 5 MB, so the first load takes a bit.

Under-13 accounts are blocked from the Virtual Stump, so this won’t show up for them.

Before you jump in

  • It’s a light download (about 5 MB), so it loads quickly even on slow Wi-Fi.
  • It’s tagged as a challenge/race map, so expect to restart sections. Learning one route properly beats rushing.
  • With competitive or minigame tags, sessions play better when everyone has already loaded the map before the round starts.
  • The last update was February 16, 2026. Big Gorilla Tag updates can break older maps, so if it won’t load, check the mod.io page for a newer file or a note from Connor-David.
