Getting into Fairy Hideaway
Fairy Hideaway doesn’t need BepInEx or any PC mod loader. It runs through the official mod.io integration, so it works on Quest and on Steam/PC VR.
- Find Fairy Hideaway on mod.io (mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/fairy-hideaway) and subscribe, logged in with your linked account.
- Head to the Arcade in City and put on one of the green headsets to drop into the Virtual Stump.
- First time? Link your account from the mod.io screen in the Stump by entering its code at mod.io/connect.
- Use the terminal to filter to installed maps, then select Fairy Hideaway and press load. Expect a ~22 MB download the first time.
Custom maps aren’t available to accounts registered under 13.
Things worth knowing
- It’s a light download (about 22 MB), so it loads quickly even on slow Wi-Fi.
- It’s tagged Hangout, which usually means it’s best with a few friends in a private code rather than a full random lobby.
- The Roleplay tag means much of the fun depends on the group you play with. Agree on the scenario before you start.
- With competitive or minigame tags, sessions play better when everyone has already loaded the map before the round starts.
