How to play DARK SWAMP
Because it’s a mod.io map, there’s nothing to sideload: Quest and PC players both get it through the in-game Virtual Stump.
- In City, walk into the Arcade and use a green VR headset; that takes you to the Virtual Stump.
- If the terminal says you’re not linked, enter the code it shows at mod.io/connect.
- Open mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/dark-swamp and hit Subscribe. Use the same mod.io login that your headset is linked to.
- On the maps terminal, show installed maps only, pick DARK SWAMP and load it. Expect a ~109 MB download the first time.
Note: accounts registered as under 13 can’t enter the Virtual Stump.
Things worth knowing
- It’s tagged Hangout, which usually means it’s best with a few friends in a private code rather than a full random lobby.
- The Roleplay tag means much of the fun depends on the group you play with. Agree on the scenario before you start.
- With competitive or minigame tags, sessions play better when everyone has already loaded the map before the round starts.
