Loading CrystalDepths in Gorilla Tag

Because it’s a mod.io map, there’s nothing to sideload: Quest and PC players both get it through the in-game Virtual Stump.

1. Open mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/crystaldepths and hit Subscribe. Use the same mod.io login that your headset is linked to.
2. Jump into the Virtual Stump from the green headsets in City’s Arcade.
3. First time? Link your account from the mod.io screen in the Stump by entering its code at mod.io/connect.
4. On the maps terminal, show installed maps only, pick CrystalDepths and load it. It’s around 292 MB, so the first load takes a bit.

Custom maps aren’t available to accounts registered under 13.

Tips

• At around 292 MB this is one of the heavier downloads. On a Quest with little free storage, clear some space first or the load can fail.
• It’s tagged as a challenge/race map, so expect to restart sections. Learning one route properly beats rushing.
• It’s tagged Hangout, which usually means it’s best with a few friends in a private code rather than a full random lobby.
• The Roleplay tag means much of the fun depends on the group you play with. Agree on the scenario before you start.
• The last update was February 2, 2026. Big Gorilla Tag updates can break older maps, so if it won’t load, check the mod.io page for a newer file or a note from NotMonki.
