Loading CRATES! in Gorilla Tag

CRATES! doesn’t need BepInEx or any PC mod loader. It runs through the official mod.io integration, so it works on Quest and on Steam/PC VR.

1. Head to the Arcade in City and put on one of the green headsets to drop into the Virtual Stump.
2. Not linked yet? The account screen in the Stump gives you a code to type in at mod.io/connect.
3. Open mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/crates and hit Subscribe. Use the same mod.io login that your headset is linked to.
4. Pick CRATES! from the installed list on the maps terminal and load in. It’s around 14 MB, so the first load takes a bit.

Custom maps aren’t available to accounts registered under 13.

Before you jump in

• It’s a light download (about 14 MB), so it loads quickly even on slow Wi-Fi.
• With competitive or minigame tags, sessions play better when everyone has already loaded the map before the round starts.
• LOB5TER updated it recently (October 4, 2026), so if something feels different from a video you watched, that’s probably why.
