Getting into Cowy’s Gtag
Cowy’s Gtag doesn’t need BepInEx or any PC mod loader. It runs through the official mod.io integration, so it works on Quest and on Steam/PC VR.
- Find Cowy’s Gtag on mod.io (mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/cowys-gtag) and subscribe, logged in with your linked account.
- Jump into the Virtual Stump from the green headsets in City’s Arcade.
- If the terminal says you’re not linked, enter the code it shows at mod.io/connect.
- Use the terminal to filter to installed maps, then select Cowy’s Gtag and press load. It’s around 107 MB, so the first load takes a bit.
Under-13 accounts are blocked from the Virtual Stump, so this won’t show up for them.
Tips
- It’s tagged Hangout, which usually means it’s best with a few friends in a private code rather than a full random lobby.
- With competitive or minigame tags, sessions play better when everyone has already loaded the map before the round starts.
- The last update was February 10, 2025. Big Gorilla Tag updates can break older maps, so if it won’t load, check the mod.io page for a newer file or a note from CowyIsSOOOCool.
