How to play City Heights

City Heights doesn’t need BepInEx or any PC mod loader. It runs through the official mod.io integration, so it works on Quest and on Steam/PC VR.

1. Head to the Arcade in City and put on one of the green headsets to drop into the Virtual Stump.
2. If the terminal says you’re not linked, enter the code it shows at mod.io/connect.
3. Subscribe to City Heights at mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/city-heights while logged in to the mod.io account you’ve linked to Gorilla Tag.
4. On the maps terminal, show installed maps only, pick City Heights and load it. The first load pulls about 75 MB.

Custom maps aren’t available to accounts registered under 13.

Tips

• It’s tagged Hangout, which usually means it’s best with a few friends in a private code rather than a full random lobby.
• The Roleplay tag means much of the fun depends on the group you play with. Agree on the scenario before you start.
• The last update was January 31, 2026. Big Gorilla Tag updates can break older maps, so if it won’t load, check the mod.io page for a newer file or a note from TruePathArt_Maps.
