CAMPGORILLA is a Gorilla Tag custom map in which players can practice their skills, as well as learn new skills. Inside of CampGorilla there is a total of 8 different grade levels. Within each grade level there is four different challenges. Each challenge is based off of one of four skills: Branching, Running, Wall-Climbing, and Wall-Running! Pass each challenge to collect a shiny rock. Collect all 32 shiny rocks from the challenges and “The Final” shiny rock from the final challenge to graduate! Please not that this map is intended for new players, however it can be played by experienced.

Loading CampGorilla in Gorilla Tag

You don’t install CampGorilla like a PC mod. Gorilla Tag downloads it for you once you’re subscribed, on Quest or PC.

1. Head to the Arcade in City and put on one of the green headsets to drop into the Virtual Stump.
2. If the terminal says you’re not linked, enter the code it shows at mod.io/connect.
3. Find CampGorilla on mod.io (mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/campgorilla) and subscribe, logged in with your linked account.
4. Pick CampGorilla from the installed list on the maps terminal and load in. It’s around 53 MB, so the first load takes a bit.

Note: accounts registered as under 13 can’t enter the Virtual Stump.

Things worth knowing

• It’s tagged as a challenge/race map, so expect to restart sections. Learning one route properly beats rushing.
• It’s tagged Hangout, which usually means it’s best with a few friends in a private code rather than a full random lobby.
• With competitive or minigame tags, sessions play better when everyone has already loaded the map before the round starts.
• The last update was October 27, 2025. Big Gorilla Tag updates can break older maps, so if it won’t load, check the mod.io page for a newer file or a note from ArchieThePirate.
