Getting into Gorilla builders

Gorilla builders doesn’t need BepInEx or any PC mod loader. It runs through the official mod.io integration, so it works on Quest and on Steam/PC VR.

1. Jump into the Virtual Stump from the green headsets in City’s Arcade.
2. If the terminal says you’re not linked, enter the code it shows at mod.io/connect.
3. Subscribe to Gorilla builders at mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/build-map1 while logged in to the mod.io account you’ve linked to Gorilla Tag.
4. On the maps terminal, show installed maps only, pick Gorilla builders and load it. Expect a ~41 MB download the first time.

Note: accounts registered as under 13 can’t enter the Virtual Stump.

Tips

• The last update was January 19, 2026. Big Gorilla Tag updates can break older maps, so if it won’t load, check the mod.io page for a newer file or a note from Marunii.
