Loading Autumnal Hills in Gorilla Tag

You don’t install Autumnal Hills like a PC mod. Gorilla Tag downloads it for you once you’re subscribed, on Quest or PC.

1. In City, walk into the Arcade and use a green VR headset; that takes you to the Virtual Stump.
2. Not linked yet? The account screen in the Stump gives you a code to type in at mod.io/connect.
3. Subscribe to Autumnal Hills at mod.io/g/gorilla-tag/m/autumnal-hills while logged in to the mod.io account you’ve linked to Gorilla Tag.
4. Use the terminal to filter to installed maps, then select Autumnal Hills and press load. Expect a ~62 MB download the first time.

Custom maps aren’t available to accounts registered under 13.

Things worth knowing

• It’s tagged Hangout, which usually means it’s best with a few friends in a private code rather than a full random lobby.
• With competitive or minigame tags, sessions play better when everyone has already loaded the map before the round starts.
• The last update was September 12, 2025. Big Gorilla Tag updates can break older maps, so if it won’t load, check the mod.io page for a newer file or a note from iizrd.
